English question: Which method is right for me?

There's no single best method, only the one that fits you, so this is a good question to think through slowly. A few simple things help narrow it down.

Think about your routine. If remembering something every day feels hard, a long-acting method like an implant or IUD may suit you, because it works quietly for years. If you'd rather have something you can start and stop yourself, pills or injectables may fit better.

Think about STI protection. If you also want to lower the risk of infections, condoms add that, and they can be used alongside another method.

Think about your health. A few health conditions make some methods a better or worse fit. For example, combined oestrogen pills are usually avoided in the early weeks of breastfeeding, while the progestogen-only pill, the implant, the injectable, and the copper IUD are all suitable then. This is why a provider will ask a little about your history and use simple safety checks before starting a method. They do this for everyone, and there's no wrong answer.

There's no pressure to get it perfect the first time. You can try one and switch if it doesn't feel right.

The easiest way to find your fit is to talk it through with someone who can answer your specific questions. Our doctors are here for that, free and in private, usually within a few hours. WhatsApp https://wa.me/251908182838, Telegram https://t.me/LetenaEthBot, or https://letena.letena.et/ask/.
